I've always been a cold-weather kinda gal, so very few things make happier than Florida at Christmas time. This season is all about layering, and it's the perfect opportunity to let your inner fashionista run wild with delicious options like lovely knits, slate gray tones and oxblood everything.
Oversized sweaters are back this year with fun, chunky-knit patterns and bold lines. You can rock my favorite look with with this oversized chunky knit, but try layering it with a long-sleeve button-up shirt (maybe even an embellished collar) and a pair of super skinny jeans. Complete the look some sexy black leather booties, a bold lip and a bit of mascara! If baggy sweaters aren't your thing, opt for the more subtle approach with a thick infinity scarf or some great jewel-tone leg warms. Whether you're wearing them with the sexy leather booties or with some knee high boots, it's a classic, cozy style that's always in.
When you're in the beauty industry, your wardrobe consists of black, very black and blackest black. So when a hairdresser wants to get a little crazy with color, we opt for the next best thing — gray. Slate gray to be exact, which is also the sexiest color hitting the runways this season. Vanessa Bruno has brought sleek and sophisticated to the stage with her 2014 fall collection consisting of strong lines and sultry slate gray.
As we move into a new season in the fashion world, deeper hues are starting to be re-introduced to our wardrobes. Fall is here, and there’s one color that we all have our eye on. It’s dark, like ripe cherries, and tough, like rust. That color we're all loving so much is oxblood. You can ring in the new year with a stunning cocktail dress like those of Rodartes' 2012 fall collection or accessorize with this deep hue by pairing some cuffed jeans with an androgynous oxford shoe or bring your high-waist pencil skirt from school teacher to sexy with a lowback oxblood blouse.
