Megan Jean and the Klay Family Band with Physical Plant — takes place at 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Shamrock. Road warriors, Megan Jean and the Klay Family Band, bring their gypsie-tinged Americana sound to Sarasota with local outfit, Physical Plant, on psychedelic harmony duty. Free.
E Man's 25th Birthday Party — takes place at 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Darwin's on 4th. Local emcee, rapper, host and all-around local personality, E Man, will be celebrating his 25th birthday in style with a party featuring food and drink specials and music by DJ Imminent. Free.
Bradentucky Bombers Season Opener — takes place at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at Astro Skate (3611 3rd St. W., Bradenton) Come see Manatee County's original roller derby team take on the Jacksonville Rollergirls in the first bout of their eighth season. $10 in advance. $12 at the door. Tailgating at 6 p.m. with free beer. Halftime show by Hail Dale. While you're at it, watch them take down one of our reporters.
