After all the glasses had been filled Jan. 24, “celebrity” bartenders walked away with $5,308.14 for Sea of Strengths Academy’s Parent Teacher Organization.

“We are very excited about this year’s event,” PTO President Mary Davis said. “We are very thankful to the local community for all of their help and support.”

The third annual Silent Auction and Celebrity Bar Night, held at the Polo Grill and Bar, featured music by “Lets Rock Sarasota,” a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction.

PTO organizers say tip money will be used to improve services and opportunities for students at Sea of Strengths, a Lakewood Ranch-based school for children with language-based disabilities.
