Those waiting for U.S. Bankruptcy Judge K. Rodney May to rule on a Colony Beach & Tennis Resort settlement and bankruptcy reorganization plan will have to wait another day.

May’s office announced Wednesday that a hearing that was originally scheduled for Feb. 24 has been pushed back to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 in his Tampa courtroom.

Other Colony legal issues, meanwhile, are percolating this week and next week.

Five association board members met with Town Manager Dave Bullock and Mayor Jim Brown Wednesday at Town Hall in a private meeting before the Town Commission holds an attorney-client special meeting 3:30 p.m. today to discuss a writ of certiorari the association filed Jan. 10. The write of certiorari petition asks a 12th Judicial Circuit judge to quash a portion of a town resolution that mandates the association increase a bond the town can use to maintain the dilapidated Colony property in case of an emergency from $50,000 to $250,000.
