The Sarasota Cuban Ballet School wins big at YAPG

The Sarasota School of Cuban Ballet took home some big wins at the Youth America Grand Prix Atlanta semifinals this weekend. It’s the biggest pre-professional competition in the world, and every Sarasota Cuban Ballet School student received acclaim.

Francisco Serrano and Gabriella Stilo took first place for their pas de deux (partner dance). Adriana Baez took first place for her classical variation in the senior women division; and second place for contemporary in the senior women division. Lenin Valladares won first place for contemporary in the senior men division and top twelve for his classical variation. Gabriella Stilo took the highest score in both her classical and contemporary variations in the junior women division. Cecilia Hitchcock won top 12 in classical in the junior women division, and Emma Town won top 12 in classical in the senior women division.
