Volunteers needed for Great American Cleanup

Sarasota County is preparing for the 2014 Great American Cleanup Saturday, March 22. The cleanup is the nation’s largest organized cleanup and is locally organized by Keep Sarasota County Beautiful.

Volunteers can choose to cleanup one of 27 parks, beaches and natural areas across Sarasota County including Ken Thompson Park and Venice Beach.

Registration to participate is now open. The first 1,000 volunteers to register will recieve complimentary T-Shirts, trash bags and work gloves.

Bee Ridge Park
Centennial Park
Colonial Oaks Park
Edwards Islands
Ken Thompson Park
Longwood Park
Newtown Estates Park
North Lido Beach
Potter Park
Siesta Beach
Ted Sperling Park
Turtle Beach Park
