After Robby Self closed the Longbeach Chevron in 2007, some residents went the distance, driving their cars to his Palmetto maintenance shop.

Now, residents can save on time and gas and still take their cars to the longtime mechanic who operated on the Key for 17 years.

Self now operates Grooms Motors & Automotive, at 5608 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach, where he provides auto repair and maintenance. Call 896-7898.
