Cheryl Loeffler was Premier Sotheby’s International Realty’s top-selling agent in 2013 for the company’s Sarasota area market, with $36.9 million in closed sales.
Loeffler also sold more Longboat Key property than any other Premier Sotheby’s agent, closing $23.05 million on the island alone.
With a background in marketing and finance, Loeffler has sold more than $1 billion worth of property since 1986.
Loeffler serves as a director of Insignia Bank and is a board member of the Asolo Theatre Co. and a trustee of the Ringling College of Art & Design. She also supports various local nonprofit art organizations, including the Sarasota Film Festival and Sarasota County Arts Council.
“The secrets to my success are based on hard work and knowledge, coupled with a platform of systems and services on three levels…Sotheby’s International Realty, Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, and what I refer to as the ‘Cheryl Loeffler’ segment,” said Loeffler in a news release. “I stay very involved in the community, and am consistently in touch with my prior clients and referring database. I stay fully staffed and continue advertising to maintain a presence for the next upturn. Despite economic shifts, we have made little adjustment to our strategies and practice.”
Premier Sotheby’s also honored Joel Schemmel as the company’s top agent team leader, with sales of $34.4 million last year. Schemmel has earned the honor for the past six consecutive years and consistently ranks among the top 5% of Sarasota agents based on closed sales volume.
Schemmel has 15 years of executive experience with firms including Arthur Andersen, Andersen Legal and Ernst & Young Law Alliance in the United States and Europe. He holds a law degree from Chicago Kent College of Law and an accounting degree from the University of Iowa. He is a registered attorney in Florida and Illinois and a CPA in Illinois.
Premier Sotheby’s also named the following top producers for 2013: Shellie Young and Mark Huber in the Longboat Key office; Charles Totonis and Martha Marler in the Lakewood Ranch office; and Terry Herschberger and Robert “Bob” Linthicum in the Venice office.
Collectively, the eight agents achieved more than $117 million in sales volume in 2013.
