Waterfront properties continue to set sales records in Sarasota County.
A newly constructed home at the north end of Siesta Key sold for $7.07 million this month, according to a Feb. 27 release from Michael Saunders & Co. Agents with the Sarasota-based firm, one of the leading brokerages in the region, represented both the buyer and the seller in the transaction. The sale is the largest residential transaction in Sarasota County in more than a year.
The 7,100-square foot "Old Florida/West Indies"-style home includes a private beach, salt water pool and elevator, along with a six-car garage and its own private beach with a dock, according to the release.
Buyers have sought out deep-water access to Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico that Siesta Key offers over neighboring islands, such as Casey Key.
