- About You — takes place at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at Two Columns Gallery, 1947 Ringling Blvd. This fine arts senior thesis exhibition features the works of Shannon Chong, Paige Ramsay, Leah McMacken, Lauren Eisenburger and Javier Aparente and explores collective identities and an individual’s quest for belonging. Free.
- Lobo Marina, Good Graeff and Lesa S — takes place at 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at Growler's Pub. Sarasota has been on a steady streak of solid live music lineups lately, and this show is no exception. Catch Virginia-based band Lobo Marino with local acts Lesa S and Good Graeff. Free.
- Springfest — takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at 5849 Sawter Loop and Clark Road. This family friendly event features a 5k and 10k run as well as live music and activities and booths.
- SRQ Cigars Grand Opening Bash — takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 1 at. SRQ Cigars, a new cigar shop specializing in boutique and local cigars, will host its grand opening bash, featuring cigar samples, beer and wine tastings, deals on single and boxed cigars and more. Free.
