Lakewood Ranch named top community

Lakewood Ranch has been ranked in the top 10 among master-planned communities nationwide for the third consecutive year.

California-based John Burns Real Estate Consulting and Maryland-based RCLCO both have ranked Lakewood Ranch No. 9 in surveys, Lakewood Ranch developer Schroeder-Manatee Ranch announced Jan. 10.

Lakewood Ranch saw more than 31,000 visitors to its information centers and model homes in 2013 — figures that translated into the asle of 618 new homes, up from 573 in 2012.
