  • Sarasota Keys — takes place at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, in Five Points Park. Sarasota Keys, an interactive Arts and Cultural Alliance project that will place six public pianos downtown, kicks off tonight. Six local artists transformed each piano into a work of public art, and now they will be unveiled with a live performance before being moved to their respective spots. Free.
  • Black Diamond Burlesque presents 'Peep Show' — takes place at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Perq Coffee Bar. Big things do come in small packages — this miniature version of Black Diamond Burlesque's well received production is a speakeasy-style peep show. Perq offers coffee, beer, wine, champagne and baked goods. Cost is $10 at the door. 21+ only.
  • Joseph's Coat Skyspace — takes place at sunset Friday, Jan. 17 through Sunday, Jan. 19, at the Asolo Repertory Theatre. Joseph’s Coat Skyspace is a combination of technology, engineering and aesthetics, created by artist James Turrell. At sunset, a system of LED lights is employed to change the color of the space. $5.
