+ Tampa restaurateurs buy St. Armands building
Tampa restaurateurs Mark and Jeff Levey purchased the 5,950-square-foot former Tokyo Restaurant building, 29 N. Blvd. of the Presidents on St. Armands Circle, for $2.7 million. Seller Biel REO LLC purchased the property for $3.19 million in June 2012.

Built in 1966, the two-story building was renovated in 2006 and later changed to an Asian theme for a Japanese steakhouse. The property was sold with a fully equipped kitchen, bar and dining areas on both levels. In addition, the building includes an elevator and separate entrances for each level. The building is currently vacant.

+ Cannons receives 15th consecutive Grady-White award
Cannons Marina received Grady-White Boat’s Admiral’s Circle Award for the 15th consecutive year.

Membership in the Admiral’s Circle is open to dealerships that achieve the highest level in retail sales for the model year and also receive scores higher than 9.25 on a 10-point scale on customer satisfaction surveys.

Benny Parrish, manager at Cannons, accepted the award at the Grady-White dealer meeting Dec. 4, in Greenville, N.C.

“Wow, 15 years. I’m so proud,” said David Miller, owner of Cannons Marina, in a prepared statement. “We strive to do a good job, and it’s nice when a fantastic company like Grady-White confirms that you are doing a good job.”

The Miller family has owned Cannons Marina for 59 years.

“We care about our customers and we basically want to make sure that they have a good and safe day out on the boat,” Miller said. “The way we do that is by providing them with the best boats available, like Grady-White, and by making sure we offer impeccable customer service. That’s the winning formula.”

Joey Weller, vice president of sales at Grady-White, confirmed that Cannons is one of its top dealers.

“It’s clearly evident that Cannons Marina is committed to its customers, is extremely knowledgeable of our products and strives to deliver the ultimate boating experience,” Weller said in a news release. “When you incorporate the positive sales and service experience its customers are receiving, Cannons Marina is sure to be successful for years to come.”
