The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

 

June 19
 Cleaned out

7:15 p.m. — 200 block of Dove Trail. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman reported $15,000 in cash was missing from her home. She said a cleaning crew was in her house unsupervised recently. Deputies collected three bags for evidence and to collect possible fingerprints.

June 20
 Hotel shakedown

2:07 p.m. — 500 block of 66th Street Court East. Theft. A hotel manager reported a former employee stole a few items from the hotel before leaving.

June 21
 Title trouble

11:03 p.m. — 3100 block of 51st Avenue East. Theft. A son reported his mother went to the tax collector’s office to get paperwork for a new car he bought. She gave him all of the documents except the title to his car. He has asked repeatedly for the title, but his mother wouldn’t give it to him.

June 22
 To-go phone

12:51 p.m. — 5200 block of University Parkway. Theft. A man told police he left his cell phone on the table of a restaurant, and it was gone when he returned. A tracking device on his phone located the phone in Bradenton, and police made plans to help locate it.

June 23
 Walk away

8:20 p.m. — 6800 block of Lockwood Ridge Road. Domestic Disturbance. Police happened upon what they thought was a broken down car in the road. The officer discovered he actually came upon an argument. The man’s girlfriend left the car and began walking down the road as he approached. The man drove away. The girlfriend walked to a friend’s house.

June 24
 Permission denied

10:57 a.m. — 7500 block of Tori Way. Fraud. A man reported someone used his Social Security number and personal information to open a cell phone account without his knowledge or permission.

June 28
 Pond scum

5:37 p.m. — 8300 block of Lake Club Boulevard. Theft. Someone stole the tag off a man’s car while he fished in a pond. He lost his tag and didn’t catch anything for dinner.

June 29
 party problems

2:30 a.m. — 8300 block of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. Assault. Police responded to a report of assault at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. A teenager with a black eye told police he was at a party earlier that night in Parrish when a group of guys punched him in the face and ribs for no reason and then fled. He couldn’t recall the exact address of the party and declined to press charges.
