8:21 a.m. — 7100 block of Longboat Drive E. Domestic Disturbance. A man who is separated from his ex-girlfriend but still lives with her said they argued about who owes whom money. The man said he wants her to leave and pay the money she owes him.
Medical emergency
9:50 a.m. — 2000 block of GMD. Illness. Condo staff members and a caregiver said a woman was not responding to her door. Police and firefighter/paramedics forced entry to the woman’s unit and found her responsive on the floor but unable to get up.
June 21
Not a bark park
12:35 p.m. — 100 block of GMD. Dog on the Beach. A man who was in a park with his two dogs said he did not know dogs weren’t allowed. He left the area with his dogs after police warned him.
Private island
2:50 p.m. — 7100 block of La Lenaire Drive. Public Service. Police told several individuals on Jewfish Key that the area is private and is not a public beach. They left without incident.
Left it wide open
3:31 p.m. — 4000 block of GMD. Public Service. A citizen flagged down police to report that a vehicle’s door was wide open. The owner was on the beach. Nothing was missing, and he probably left the door open accidentally.
June 22
No place for dogs
10:14 a.m. — 2800 block of GMD. Dog on the Beach. A woman who was on vacation received a written warning for bringing her dog to the beach. She did not know dogs were prohibited.
Tow, tow, tow your boat
12:41 p.m. — Off the Key. Boat. Police found a boat adrift and learned its occupants were having engine trouble. Police helped transport them and their boat to a north end boat ramp. The owner said he would call a towing company for help.
Water rescue
4 p.m. — Off the Key. Boat. Police noticed two Jet Skis adrift. One vessel had failed and they were trying to get back to a boat ramp. Both individuals and Jet Skis made it back safely to shore.
Can you hear us now?
4:51 p.m. — Off the Key. Noise. A caller reported loud music coming from a boat at a sandbar. The operator said he knew the music was loud. Police gave him a notice to appear in court for violating the town’s noise ordinance.
