MBC Elite wins national crown

The MBC Elite 9th grade boys basketball team went 7-0 to win the AAU National Championship July 10 through July 14, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

MBC Elite defeated College Park Express (45-41), Eastern Shore Athletics (77-46), Gosh Warriors (72-57), Southern Bayou Flames (55-39), Sand Hill Warriors (61-48) and Dream Team Elite (32-28) to advance to the championship game.

In the championship, MBC Elite held on to defeat the Atlanta Celtics 44-39. Brock Sisson finished with 16, including four 3-pointers, to lead the way for MBC Elite. Blauvelt Georges added a pair of 3-pointers.
