With less than a month until the 2014-2015 school year starts, the Manatee County School District will finalize its school faculty member appointments.
At its meeting from 5:45 to 8 p.m., July 22, the School Board will vote whether to accept Craig Little as Lakewood Ranch High School's new principal. If Little is chosen, the district will decide if Melinda Lundy will replace him as the school's assistant principal.
Other East County appointments to be considered tonight include Michele Danowski, for the assistant principal position at Robert E. Willis Elementary, and Robert Sloman, for the assistant principal position at Carlos E. Haile Middle School.
The School Board will also discuss whether to approve and apply the $2.75 million School Climiate Transformation Grant the district received from the U.S. Department of Education. Braden River Elementary School is among the recipients that may receive a portion of the dollars for behavioral programs.
