LIT UP
1:33 a.m. — 2700 block of North Osprey Avenue. Dispute/Fight. Two neighbors in adjoining apartments called officers to make a report. One woman accused the other of burning her with a lit cigarette as they walked by each other in the hallway. The other woman said the neighbor broke her door two nights ago. No independent party witnessed proof of either incident, and one of the women was intoxicated. Officers advised both women to stay in their apartments and not make contact with each other the rest of the night.

MISSING LINK
9 a.m. — 3200 block of Sycamore Terrace. Petit Theft. A woman said she was checking her neighbor’s house when she noticed blood on the driveway. The woman further inspected the house and noticed a front tire missing from a bike. The homeowner said it was an old bike and that the value of the tire was approximately $20. The officer did not take in the bike frame because it was heavily rusted and said the blood in the driveway appeared to be from a raccoon paw.

SOMETHING BORROWED
11:49 a.m. — 2800 block of Fruitville Road. Dispute/Fight. A woman informed officers her friend would not return her car. Officers contacted the friend, who then returned the keys to the woman.

LETTER BOXING
1 p.m. — 200 block of North Conrad Avenue. Dispute/Fight. A man said he is in an ongoing dispute with a tenant at a property he owns. The man is in the process of evicting the tenant and believes the tenant is stealing mail out of his mailbox. The man had no proof of his claim but asked officers to contact the tenant and ask him to stop. The tenant denied taking any mail that does not belong to him.

REFUND FUNDAMENTALS
3:13 p.m. — 3500 block of Fruitville Road. Other Disorderly Conduct. An employee at a drug store called police in response to a woman who was attempting to get a refund. The employee said the woman was scatterbrained, and that it was confusing the cashier. The woman became irate when the process was taking longer than she felt it should, she said. The employee agreed to refund the money while the officer stood by and wanted a trespass warning issued to the woman. The woman acknowledged the major points of the incident as recounted by the employee before leaving the property.
