All Faiths Food Bank and the Sarasota County School District are working together to provide food for students and families during the summer season by enhancing and introducing programs.

The additions are part of the nonprofit’s first summer "BackPack Kids" program, which helps feed 21,000 (50%) of Sarasota County students.

At a media conference Wednesday, All Faiths and the school district announced the expansion of the nonprofit's served-meal program, “Break Spots,” to more than 45 locations throughout the county.

During the summer, All Faiths will also offer nine new mobile pantry stops and increase the capacity of its Sprout Mobile Farm Market.

The announcements come after the nonprofit’s successful Campaign Against Summer Hunger, which raised $1.1 million and more than 776,000 pounds of food.
