Summer is on its way — leaves are turning, wardrobes are changing — why not make a change to your mane? We always talk about going for the drastic bob or taking your golden locks to a deep, rich, red but change can be as simple as going for a long fringe or blunt bangs.

I recently took the plunge, and I'm beyond happy with how it turned out. I've had the same medium-length haircut with a long, side-swept fringe since I was 19, and I was in desperate need of a change. Luckily for me, this bold look is back. I opted for the blunt bang, but I still like it piecey, so my stylist used a technique called "point-cutting" to break up my bangs so they weren't too strong.

Hollywood is no stranger to bangs, either. Olivia Wilde's stylist switched up her long fringe for this sexy ’60s look. He kept her long locks sleek and straight but went with a full blunt bang. This heavy brow-skimming fringe also helps makes her oval face seem thinner.

If you're rocking a short style, check out one of Ginnifer Goodwin's ever-changing pixie cuts. I'm loving her more recent modern take on the iconic Mia Farrow pixie cut. These baby bangs can take you from a super polished office look to a modern, unkempt everyday look.

Emma Stone is another celebrity sporting the big-bang style. Recently, she opted for a long, side-swept bang that's always in style. Parting to the side will also help elongate your face, or you can be bold with a middle part, using a round brush or curling iron to give your hair a bit of movement.
