Orchid Beach Club condominium sells for $2 million

The following residential real estate transactions took place between May 26 and May 30.

A condominium in Orchid Beach Club Residences tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Sarfraz Islam, trustee, and AdvantaIRA Trust LLC sold the Unit B1004 condominium at 2050 Benjamin Franklin Drive to Janice Morris, of Sarasota, for $2 million. Built in 2005, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,936 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,826,000 in 2005.

Fairway Bay
Robert and Nancy Whitacre, of Indianapolis, sold their Unit 535 condominium at 2110 Harbourside Drive to John Harris, trustee, of Chevy Chase, Md., for $1.15 million. Built in 1988, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,632 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,199,000 in 2006.

Akos Fekete, of Seattle, and Esther Howard, of Longboat Key, trustees, sold the Unit 1103 condominium at 1922 Harbouside Drive to Alan Zimlicki and Aldona Charlton, of Longboat Key, for $325,000. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, three baths and 1,626 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $182,500 in 1994.

Grand Bay
Maurice and Pauline Abell, of Herfordshire, U.K., sold their Unit 435 condominium at 3010 Grand Bay Blvd. to Raymond and Betsy Kotcher, of Longboat Key, for $800,000. Built in 1999, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 2,143 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $525,000 in 1999.

The Castillian
Lynn Burton, of Ontario, Canada, sold her Unit 107 condominium at 4545 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Donald and Lorraine Wallace, of Winnetka, Ill., for $732,500. Built in 1979, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 1,738 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $329,600 in 1993.

Harbour Villa Club at the Buccaneer
Larry and Virginia Baker, of Longboat Key, sold their Unit 203 condominium at 615 Dream Island Road to 615 Dream Island LLC for $455,000. Built in 1985, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,293 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $305,000 in 2000.

Longboat Arms
David and Sharon Flanagan, trustees, of Somersworth, N.H., sold the Unit 204-D condominium at 3330 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Jean-Guy and Johanne Lalonde, of Quebec, Canada, for $304,000. Built in 1971, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,106 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $220,000 in 2000.

Flavio Riva, of Pinerolo, Italy, sold his Unit 12-B condominium at 1700 Benjamin Franklin Drive to Kevin Jones, of Bradenton, for $395,000. Built in 1968, it has one bedroom, two baths and 1,059 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $90,000 in 1993.

Bird Key
Eileen Roberts, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the home at 650 S. Owl Drive to Paul Bolton and Aleta Chrisman, of Sarasota, for $1.05 million. Built in 1970, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a pool and 2,580 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $290,000 in 1987.
