World of Beer to replace Eat Here on Main Street

After the recent announcement by World of Beer that the establishment will open two new locations, one at 497 Cortez Road in Bradenton, and another on Main Street in downtown Sarasota, the bar has announced that it will move into the current Eat Here location at 1888 Main Street.

"It's exciting," says co-owner, Dean Lambert. "It's going to be a great location for us, having two stories. It's great timing, too, with all of the other things going on in downtown Sarasota. The area has been a little slower in the last few years, but it really seems to be filling in now. I think we'll be a good addition."

Lambert says the current goal is to open by late summer or early fall, and he says the downtown Sarasota location will fall somewhere between World of Beer's 2.0 model, which offers eight or nine tavern-fare-style dishes and its 3.0 model, which offers an expanded menu. In addition to the mid-sized menu, the bar will continue to offer its staple selection of hundreds of bottled beers and several dozen on tap.
