Longboat Key’s Aging in Paradise Resource Center, or AIPRC, recently received a $4,000 donation from Arnold Simonsen.

The reason for his generosity? Simonsen wanted to lend a hand in AIPRC mission to provide education and support services for older adults living on Longboat Key, Anna Maria Island and other local communities.

“The Resource Center’s mission is to provide quality solutions and exciting opportunities for local seniors, enabling them to live with dignity and the highest possible level of health, independence and quality of life and we couldn’t achieve this without the generous support of caring donors like Arnold,” said Dick Pelton, co-chair of AIPRC, in a press release Wednesday.

Aging in Paradise Resource Center, located on the 2nd Floor of the Longboat Island Chapel, offers programs that focus on everything from brain power to transitions in life. All of its services are open to the community.
