Iced tea is a Southern classic. There are very few regions in the world where tea is purposely chilled and served with ice cubes, so it's only natural that we take advantage of the drink during its peak season: summertime. Today's drink is green tea with a twist, and when it hits you, it hits hard. This subtle, refreshing concoction does not taste like an alcoholic beverage, making it dangerously delectable. It's the perfect cocktail for a casual outdoor lunch, a fancy beachside dinner or a comfy evening in.

I’ve also recently invested in stainless steel ice cubes (n’ICE cubes) to keep my drinks cold without watering them down. You can purchase them for less than $5 online, and at this point in the year, they're practically a necessity.

Green with Envy

What you’ll need:

  • 2 green tea bags
  • 3 mint leaves
  • A lemon
  • Cucumber-infused vodka, as desired
  • Ice cubes

Directions:

  • Brew the tea bags until the water gets dark and attains its strongest flavor. Let cool.
  • Muddle three mint leaves and a slice of lemon, sized according to preference.
  • Add all three ingredients to shaker and add vodka. Shake and pour all contents over ice into a glass.
  • Garnish with lemon.

Enjoy with a group of friends or during your personal down time, and remember: Pinky out!
