Lyman Frieze IV, of Staten Island, N.Y., and Longboat Key, died Jan. 25.
Born in Staten Island, Mr. Frieze spent his childhood in Garden City, Long Island, N.Y., where he attended Buckley Country Day School and graduated from St. Paul’s School.
Mr. Frieze served in the U.S. Army as a medic in a burn unit and was stationed at Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio, Texas. He then attended Yale University, where he played football.
Mr. Frieze worked as a portfolio manager in the personal trust and estates division at First National City Bank. Ultimately, he became a managing director of asset management at Citigroup.
Mr. Frieze was an avid runner and member of The New York Athletic Club. He enjoyed spending summers in Edgartown, Mass., where he served as treasurer of the Down Harbor Association.
After retiring to Florida, Mr. Frieze enjoyed playing tennis at the Longboat Key Club.
Mr. Frieze is survived by his wife, Donna; and daughters, Pamela Frieze, of Boston, and Allison Frieze, of Denver.
