ODA baseball sweeps Cardinal Mooney

The Out-of-Door Academy baseball team completed a regular-season sweep of rival Cardinal Mooney with a 5-2 victory in Class 3A-District 10 action March 15.

Austin Hoppe pitched a complete game, allowing three hits while striking out five.

Parke Phillips hit a double and scored a run in the first inning. Jake Romine added a two-run double in the fifth inning.

Cardinal Mooney pitcher Josh Bonynge struck out eight and walked two. Christian Maglich had a RBI single for the Cougars in the second inning.
