Julie Fischer Pflum
Julie Fischer Pflum, 97, of Indianapolis and Longboat Key, died March 9.
Born March 31, 1916, in Greenfield, Ind., Mrs. Pflum graduated from Broad Ripple High School and Indiana Central College of Business Administration, where she was a member of Lambda Alpha Lambda sorority.
Mrs. Pflum was vice president of Cooper Studio Inc. until 1967, when she retired to Longboat Key with her husband, the late Urban Pflum.
She was a member of Longboat Key Golf Club and served as publicity chairwoman of the Women’s 18-Hole golf organization. She was also a member of Bird Key Yacht Club and The Meadows Country Club 18-hole group and Thursday singles golf group.
Mrs. Pflum is survived by her daughter, Judith Pflum Davis-Etrick; son, Stephen Pflum; sister, Ernestine Fischer Lambertus; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A private closed ceremony for family members and friends will be held at a later date.
