Pettingell is proud Woolfpack member

Bradenton resident Sam Woolf has a growing army of fans now that he is in the top nine of the current season of “American Idol.”

Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate Longboat Key associate Roger Pettingell can say he was an early member of the Woolfpack before the teen shot to fame. Woolf’s dad, Scott, used to do punch work for Pettingell and his customers and often showed off his soon-to-be-star son singing on YouTube.

“He would always bring in these music files for us to listen to,” Pettingell said. “He (Sam Woolf) was awesome. It’s such an uphill battle to imagine him going from a 13-year-old to this.”

Pettingell is still part of the Woolfpack. He and his team are cheering, voting and blogging for Woolf.
