In an effort to win over the Lakewood Ranch High School community, three finalists vying for the principal position at the East County school will participate in a public forum.

From 6 to 8 p.m., May 27, in the Lakewood Ranch High auditorium, Justin Terry, Anthony Losada and Scott Cooper will delve into their professional backgrounds to help audience members decide which man would best meet the needs of the school.

Losada, an assistant principal at Manatee High, and Cooper, Bayshore High's assistant principal, have spent their careers in education in the Manatee County School District. Terry, however, hails from Texas, and offers 13 years experience as an educator.

One of the men will replace current principal Linda Nesselhauf, whose retirement takes effect June 30.

With consideration to tonight's forum and the public input given there, schools Superintendent Rick Mills will make a final decision by June 3, according to Steve Valley, director of communications for the school district.
