Obituary: John Whipple III

John Whipple III, 63, of Bradenton, died May 19.

Born Dec. 19, 1950, in Meshoppen, Penn., Mr. Whipple was a 1968 graduate of Southeast High School in Bradenton and received an associate degree from United Electronics, in Tampa, before starting work at General Telephone Co.

For the last 18 years, Mr. Whipple worked for L’Ambiance condominium and cherished the friends he made there over the years.

Mr. Whipple was a member of the Moose Lodge 1319 and Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, flowers and a variety of music, and was an avid fan of NASCAR and driving stock cars.

Mr. Whipple was preceded in death by his father, John, and daughter, Jennifer Lee. He is survived by his mother, Ann; daughters, Jeannette and Maitera; son, John; sister, Susan; and brother, William.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Manasota Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton.
