Vera Giusti, 100, of South Dartmouth, Mass., and Longboat Key, died May 15.

Born Jan. 19, 1914, in Leicester, England, she lived in the New Bedford, Mass., area for most of her life.
Mrs. Giusti graduated from New Bedford High School, where she met her husband, Joseph Giusti. They married Feb. 25, 1939, and enjoyed 73 years of marriage. Throughout their marriage, they traveled extensively and enjoyed their many retirement years on Longboat Key.

Mrs. Giusti was a member of the Congregational Church of South Dartmouth and Longboat Island Chapel. She was a past member of the Longboat Key Club.

Mrs. Giusti explored many different art mediums, her favorite being the art of cloisonné. The Longboat Key Center for the Arts frequently recognized Mrs. Giusti for her work.

Mrs. Giusti was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine; son, Paul; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
