A waterfront home on the northern end of Siesta Key sold for $10.25 million, the highest sale price for a residential property in Sarasota County since February 2013.

Michael Saunders & Co. agent Karen Melk listed the estate, which fronts the Gulf of Mexico just north of the intersection of Ocean Boulevard and Midnight Pass Road, while Phyllis Garfinkel, also an agent for the Sarasota-based firm, sold the property. The 1.6-acre parcel was originally listed for $10.98 million.

The 8,600 square foot home was built in 2008, and includes six bedrooms and six bathrooms, a patio, swimming pool and dock, according to the Sarasota County Property Appraiser website.

The Property Appraiser most recently assessed the property at $4.2 million with $50,000 worth of homestead tax exemptions.

Another Siesta property known as “Snook Inn” sold for $10 million in 2013.
