Obituary: Jean Margaret Steiner

Jean Margaret Steiner, 99, of Longboat Key, died Oct. 24.

Born April 19, 1915, in Springfield, Ill., Mrs. Steiner graduated in 1932 from Redford High School and in 1936 from the University of Michigan with a degree in French. She became a teacher in Detroit and married S. Daniel Steiner July 8, 1938.

Mrs. Steiner is remembered for her sharp sense of humor and analytical mind. She enjoyed traveling, reading, water sports, golf and sitting by the waterfront.

Mrs. Steiner was preceded in death by her husband, S. Daniel Steiner. She is survived by her three children, Martha, Tom and Mark; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 29, at Christ Church of Longboat Key, Presbyterian.
