Crowder’s Gifts and Gadgets turned into a pink wonderland Oct. 29, as the store welcomed Vera Bradley brand ambassador Joan Bradley Reedy, daughter of Vera Bradley and sister of company co-founder Barbara Baekgaard.

Reedy shared anecdotes of Vera Bradley’s history and personal stories during the special event, which raised money for breast cancer research.

At the end of the event, owner Jina Crowder presented Reedy and Vera Bradley rep Angela Black with a check for $1,000 for the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research and Awareness.

The organization has contributed $20 million to the research being conducted at Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Center in Indianapolis and has pledged $15 million more.
