Ding it Out Loud
12:19 p.m. Nov. 14. 500 block of Beneva Road. Miscellaneous. An officer responded to a clothing store parking lot, where a woman said she felt another woman bump her car as she exited her vehicle. The complainant advised that she saw a small paint chip on her car, which she recently had painted. The other woman was adamant that she did not cause the damage. The officer asked the woman, an employee at the store, to return to her car and open the door to see if the chip lined up with her door. It did not. The officer told the complainant there was no way to prove this caused the damage, but he reported it and provided her a case number for insurance purposes.
Gone in 60 Seconds
6:28 p.m. Nov. 14. 1400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Family. A man called police in regards to an argument he was having with his fiancé over marriage counseling. The couple lives together and purchased a vehicle together a few months ago, agreeing to split payments. During the argument, his fiancé took the keys to the car and left. The man reported the vehicle was in his name, but the vehicle information had negative results. The man stated he doesn't want his fiancé to get in trouble; he just wants the car back, because she was not answering her phone.
Wedding Crasher
11 p.m. Nov. 14. 1000 block of Benjamin Franklin Dr. Criminal mischief. An officer responded to a report of vandalism. A man's vehicle had been keyed on the driver's side. The officer spoke to a woman who stated she had a wedding on the beach last night, and there was a suspicious male on the property crashing the party, and that he was a possible suspect.
High Maintenance
12:47 p.m. Nov. 15. 6000 block of Waldemere Street. Suspicious person / narcotics. Two male juveniles were reported smoking marijuana in the park. When they were seen, they ran through the park toward Arlington Street. Officer was unable to locate the juveniles.
Trashed
4:45 p.m. Nov. 15. 2700 block of Orange Ave. Suspicious incident. A woman reported that a known community male has been taking garbage from her trash can and spreading it on the ground in her front yard. The man has not been physical, nor stolen anything, but she had no idea why the man was doing this. Officers told her to call if he returned to have him trespassed.
