Obituary: Lamont Dell Fogt

Lamont Dell Fogt, 92, formerly of Longboat Key, died Sept. 1.

Born in 1927, in Union County, Ohio, Mrs. Fogt graduated from high school at 16 and went on to become an elementary school teacher. She taught children for more than 35 years.

Mrs. Fogt was a member of Longboat Island Chapel and spent many hours assisting at the Lord’s Warehouse, helping to provide funding for several charities in the area.

Mrs. Fogt was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; son, Dennis; and grandson. She is survived by her daughters, Marla, of Sarasota, and Julie, of New York City; sister, Doris, of Richwood, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Sept. 27, at Longboat Island Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to your favorite charity in her name.
