1:15 p.m. — 8400 block of Lockwood Ridge Road. Fraud. A man was shocked to discover that he paid for $677.63 worth of paint that was delivered to his door. It turns out that whoever stole his credit card information forgot to change the delivery address.

Oct. 2
Marijuana bust
11:45 a.m. — 9500 block of State Road 64 East. Suspicious Circumstance. Police were notified that a 12-year-old was suspected of being in possession of marijuana at a local middle school. Police found marijuana in the student’s backpack and escorted the student to a juvenile booking facility.

Loud and clear
3:30 p.m. — 5600 block of 29th Street Circle East. Information Only. A woman reported she found a cellphone in her daughter’s backpack and took it because she doesn’t allow her daughter to have a cellphone. She found inappropriate messages on the phone and urged police to give her daughter a stern talk.

Lock up 
8:29 a.m. — 11000 block of Water Lily Way. Burglary. A homeowner reported someone entered both of his unlocked cars, parked in his driveway, overnight, but didn’t take anything. Police advised the homeowner to lock his vehicles.

Oct. 4
Loaded statement
9:26 a.m. — 9000 block of 58th Drive East. Lost Property. A salon employee found a man’s bag at an intersection near the salon and handed it over to police. The purse contained a pistol loaded with a magazine of six rounds and a second magazine containing eight rounds of bullets. After an investigation, police found the owner, who verified the contents. Police turned over the bag and urged the man to be careful with its contents.

High-definition heist
1:22 p.m. — 6200 block of State Road 64 East. Shoplifting. A man ripped off the spider-wire security device from a $198 high-definition television and attempted to make a run for it through the checkout lines. He failed and was caught by a loss-prevention officer.

Ebola scare unfounded
6:51 p.m. — 2800 block of University Parkway. Suspicious Circumstance. Police responded to an anonymous complaint of a grocery store employee throwing up in the bathroom. The caller allegedly overheard the employee say he had just returned from Africa and was concerned it was a case of ebola. The complaint was unfounded.

Oct. 5
Stop sign failure
1:23 p.m. — 22200 block of State Road 64 East. Information Only. A police officer noticed a stop sign fell down. The officer attempted to erect the sign, but it fell down again. The officer notified a transportation official to erect the sign.

People that live in glass houses…
10:30 p.m. — 2100 block of University Parkway. Criminal Mischief. A man called police to report that a friend of his broke his glass front door because he wouldn’t give him any more pain pills. The friend put a 10-inch hold in the glass door and fled before police arrived.
