Tracks record
3 p.m. — 3100 block of 73rd Street East. Burglary. Someone entered a man’s garage through a side window and opened the garage door. Tracks in the neighbor’s yard showed the suspect pushed two dirt bikes valued at $3,000 each out of the garage and into the street before loading them into a vehicle.

Mowing mayhem
7:08 p.m. — 6600 block of 66th Avenue East. Battery. A man was not satisfied with his lawn service and confronted his lawn man. The conversation turned into a heated argument, and the man hit the lawn man on the head with his cane three times.

Extreme landscaping
12:51 p.m. — 1900 block of 141st Street East. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman reported her neighbor keeps cutting her shrubs on her property and throwing shrub clippings onto her yard. She also reported her neighbor has pulled up some of her shrubs and thrown them in the yard.
Nasty split
4:50 p.m. — 25200 block of State Road 64 East. Stalking. A woman told police she is in the middle of a messy divorce and her husband is sending “nasty emails” to friends and family through her email account. She told police her husband has access to all of her passwords. Police verified the emails were sent from his phone and planned to investigate.

Burglary bust
11:15 a.m. — 8200 block of Heritage Grand Place. Burglary. A house sitter found a rear master bedroom glass door smashed out, but the door was never opened. Nothing was missing.
Oct. 10
Drug debacle
12:01 p.m. — 1000 block of Buttercup Glenn. Suspicious Circumstance. A man told police a group of kids approached him and asked if he would like to purchase “some weed.” Unfortunately for the kids, the man they approached was a retired New York corrections officer who got in touch with local police. The school resource officer at Lakewood Ranch High School was also informed of the incident.
Dude, where's the car?
2:47 p.m. — 4700 block of Raintree Circle East. Suspicious Circumstance. A man rented a car and parked it in his driveway, leaving the keys in the cup holder and the doors unlocked. Within a couple of hours, the car disappeared.

Dancing disaster
10:42 p.m. — 6600 block of River Club Boulevard. Battery. A couple was dancing during a wedding reception at a country club when the man accidentally spilled his beverage on the floor and other dancers. When the man attempted to mop up the dance floor with his soggy beverage napkin, dancers became irritated. Three men approached him with closed fists when he tried to get another drink. The couple fled the country club.

Selective shoplifting
3:22 p.m. — 2900 block of 53rd Avenue East. Theft. A man used a knife to open a package of ear buds and selected the ear buds that fit his ears best and left the rest behind. He then went to the clothes department and grabbed some tank tops that fit him best, leaving the rest behind. He then helped himself to a Mountain Dew in the garden department before he was arrested.

Rude awakening
6:20 p.m. — 2800 block of University Parkway. Theft. Two homeless brothers told police they had fallen asleep near a coffee shop while listening to music and awoke to find someone had stolen their cell phones.
