Obituary: Shawn Anthony Sapuppo

Shawn Anthony Sapuppo, 35, of Bradenton, died Oct. 7.

Born July 1, 1979, in Sarasota, Mr. Sapuppo grew up in Bradenton and graduated in 1997 from Bayshore High School, where he was a varsity baseball, hockey and football player.

Mr. Sapuppo was a local fishing guide and licensed captain since 1997. He worked from 1999 to 2001 for the Longboat Key Public Works Department. He worked in a church ministerial position.

Mr. Sapuppo is survived by his wife, Amber; sons Logan, Landon and Liam; daughter, Alina; parents Anthony Sapuppo, of Longboat Key, and Lynda Stevens, of Bradenton; stepmother, Jenifer Sapuppo; stepfather, John Stevens; brother, Daniel Sapuppo, of Bradenton; sisters Leann Beagle, of Key Largo, and Madeline Sapuppo, of Longboat Key; stepbrother, John Stevens; stepsisters Jennifer Stevens-Marquette and Shelly Stevens; grandparents Don and Gail Carroll, of Madison, Ohio, and Dominic and Rita Daniels of Kirtland, Ohio; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A service will be held for family members and close friends at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Bayside Community Church, 3304 43rd St. W., Bradenton.
