+ A budding partnership
Local Kiwanis clubs joined forces to help break ground on a butterfly garden and new information center for Community Haven for Adults and Children with Disabilities. More than 20 members of area Kiwanis clubs, including Sarasota, Longboat Key and Siesta Key, pitched in earlier this month to help with the improvements for the 32-acre campus. Community Haven President and CEO Marla Doss was pleased to have extra helping hands.
“Kiwanis truly demonstrates its mission of being a global organization of volunteers, dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time,” Doss said.
