Meteors to hold golf tourney

The Florida Meteors 12U travel baseball team will hold a golf tournament fundraiser Oct. 25, at the Legacy Golf Club at Lakewood Ranch, 8255 Legacy Blvd.

Registration will begin at noon followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Cost is $125 per player and includes golf, lunch and refreshments on the course. Hole sponsorships ($200) and corporate packages ($600), which includes participation for four players, and a hole sponsorship, also are available.

Proceeds from the four-person scramble will benefit the team’s participation in the Cooperstown Tournament of Champions next summer.
