ODA closes district regular season with win

The Out-of-Door Academy volleyball team closed out its district regular season with a 25-19, 25-16, 25-21 victory over Bradenton Christian in district action Oct. 14.

With the win, ODA forced a three-way tie for second place with Saint Stephen’s and Bradenton Christian. The three teams will have a blind draw for the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 seeds in the Class 3A-District 10 tournament, which begins Oct. 20.

Seniors Natalie Buffett and Reanna Gregory finished with 15 kills and 12 kills, respectively, to lead the way for the Lady Thunder. Sam Emmons added seven kills.
