It is finally fall, which, here in Florida doesn’t mean all that much, since we don’t have changing leaves or consistent “cold” weather — if any at all. With that said, you can still have some festive fun here in Sarasota!

Just east of I-75 on Fruitville Road sits a quaint produce stand called Fruitville Grove. During the month of October, the grove transforms into the perfect pumpkin patch.

A small petting zoo, kid play area, barbecue stand, crafters, hay rides, face painting, live music and some delicious locally grown organic fruit and vegetables go hand in hand with hundreds of pumpkins. Admission is free, and parking is easy to find.

There's just something satisfying about going and picking out your very own pumpkin, and supporting local farmers and produce stands is always a good idea. Here at Fruitville Grove, you can count on good fruit and vegetables — and during October — great seasonal fun!
