Let me start off by saying this: I'm no top chef. In fact, I really can't stand cooking.

I'm one of those girls who would much rather go out and have someone else prepare my meals. But I just don't have that kind of time — or money. So I make some time to meal prep every Sunday, and while I'm at it, I also make some yummy energy bites to snack on throughout the week.

This past weekend, as I was cooking, I realized that I should share my energy ball recipe with everyone. It's honestly the quickest and easiest recipe in the world. It will only take you 10 minutes, and it only requires three ingredients. It doesn't get much better than that.

To start, you're going to want to preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

You will need:

  • 3 bananas
  • 2 cups organic, old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 snack-size boxes of raisins or a small handful of chocolate chips

bananas

Grab a mixing bowl, peel your bananas and add your oats. Take a fork and mash and mix it all up (it makes a great extra arm workout.)

Once that's done, and it looks all mushy, add your raisins or chocolate chips and mix again.

mix

Using your hands, use the mixture to make inch-and-a-half sized balls and place on a cookie sheet. The mix will make approximately 15 balls.

Bake for 15 min and you’re done!

Keep them in the fridge for a cool snack, or you can heat them up in the microwave for 10 to 20 seconds, which is my favorite.

Let's talk calories: I already did the math for you — you're welcome. If you made 15 balls, it should only be about 100 calories per ball. The more balls you make, the less calories each will be.

Now go get to work and make yourself some yummy energy balls!
