An East County salon is trimming up to support a local 32-year-old battling cystic fibrosis.

Blue Door Spa and Salon, located at 5234 State Road 64 E., Bradenton, will host a fundraiser 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 14 for Eric Buchanan, who needs a double lung transplant.

The event will feature The Desoto pirate ship, live music by Marc Anthony, a bounce house, the blood mobile, Kona Ice, a food truck and other vendors. There also will be a silent auction and raffle prizes.
