Is there any better way to support equality than with a strip tease? If there is, we don't care to know about it.

Tomorrow night, Sarasota's original masters of the tease, the Black Diamond Burlesque troupe, will climb behind the bar (and likely on top of it) to tantalize audiences in the name of social awareness with a free guest bartending event and Peep Show performance at Shamrock Pub.

Proceeds from the event, which is presented by Sarasota Music Scene, will benefit the 2015 Harvey Milk Festival, a nonprofit organization and festival honoring the life of one of America's first openly gay politicians, Harvey Milk.

Finally — a way to combine nudity and charity.

Shamrock

Starting at 7 p.m., catch your favorite Black Diamond dames and dandies both behind the bar and under the spotlight, as well as appearances by special guest performers.

Enjoy music by DJ David Curran, food from Southern Smoke BBQ Catering and raffle prizes including two tickets to the upcoming BDB Burlesque Roulette show and two month-long membership packages at Studio South Fitness.

So go ahead, grab a beer, chow down on some barbecue and don't be afraid to tip — it is for charity, after all.
