Libby's Café + Bar might be best known for its lifesaving bloody mary selection, but belly up to the newly renovated L-Bar, and your cup will runneth over with quality cocktail options.
Renovated last fall, the L-Bar is a swank, dimly lit cocktail lounge that's partitioned off from the rest of the bar, where customers can enjoy hand-crafted cocktails surrounded by friends, antique art and vintage, pleasantly mismatched furniture.
We ducked out of the heat and into this watering hole to try out their take on a summer classic, the Pimm's Cup.
Just in time for the warm weather, this refreshing cocktail is made with its namesake Pimm's liqueur, gin, strawberries and cucumbers. But what really makes this drink kick is Libby's house-made ginger beer.
Just like the mint julep is the king of quench at the Kentucky Derby, this British concoction is an equally royal refresher every year at Wimbledon.
If you're unfamiliar with the crisp, invigorating beverage, watch our video above to see bartender Brittany Decker build the drink from the base up, starting with ice, then mixing in each fresh ingredient.
