Giving Challenge kicks off

Ready, set, give!

From noon Sept.1 to noon Sept. 2, the Giving Challenge offers an online avenue for interested individuals to donate to the local nonprofit group of their choice.

More than 400 organizations in Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte and Desoto counties are participating. 

More than $8 million has been collected in southwest Florida over the last few years, a press release said.

To donate, visit givingpartnerchallenge.org. The website showcases registered groups and provides information on each nonprofit.
