OBITUARY | Jann Wilshire Shearson

Jann Wilshire Shearson, 77, of Longboat Key, died Aug. 11.

Born April 18, 1938, in Sydney, Australia, Mrs. Shearson is remembered for her prowess on the tennis court and ski slopes and her talent as a chef, artist and gardener. She will also be remembered for her 15 years of service as a volunteer at Mote Marine Laboratory.

Mrs. Shearson is survived by her husband, Alec; daughter, Jennifer; and two granddaughters.

A private internment will take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia in September.
