Mustangs win Cougar Invite

The Lakewood Ranch High wrestling team won the 21-team tournament Dec. 11 and Dec. 12.

The Lakewood Ranch High wrestling team won the 20th Annual Cougar Invitational Dec. 11 and Dec. 12, at Durant High. 

The Mustangs posted a pair of first-place individual finishes en route to winning the 21-team tournament. 

Hunter Reed and Tim Dwyer both finished first at 120 pounds and 138 pounds, respectively. Dylan Cameron (132) and Chase Sharp (195) both posted second-place finishes. Luis Tremblay-Vidal (170) and Nate Lancaster (220) earned third-place finishes. Tyler Gilbert (152) and Logan Bounds (182) both finished fourth. Elijah Miller (113) was sixth. 

Zach Spade (126), Ryan Brown (145) and Anthony Capozzi (160) also contributed wins and team points to help Lakewood.
